Fresh off a surprising rookie campaign in 2021, Ty Gibbs cemented himself as one of NASCAR’s top young stars by winning the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship aboard the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing. Ty tallied seven visits to Victory Lane, including a dominant pole to checkers run in the Championship 4 finale at Phoenix Raceway.

Ty also got a taste of racing the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022 as he drove 15 races for 23XI Racing as a substitute driver in both the No. 23 and No. 45 Toyota entries. His success and experience with both series has catapulted him to a full-time campaign in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series aboard Joe Gibbs Racing’s No. 54 Toyota Camry.

Ty first took NASCAR by surprise in 2021 with a win in his very first NASCAR Xfinity Series race. With a part-time schedule, he raced to four total wins in just 18 starts en route to being named 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series Rookie of the Year.

Ty also claimed the 2021 ARCA Menard Series Championship on the strength of 10 wins and, the year prior, Ty led his team to the 2020 ARCA Menards Series Owner’s Championship with six victories.

The 20-year-old North Carolina native carries with him a championship pedigree that comes with the Gibbs family name. Now focused on racing the Cup Series, Ty’s goal is to keep finding his way to Victory Lane and contend for NASCAR Cup Series championships.
